Zakids Font Review
It was a quiet Tuesday morning, and I found myself staring at a blank brand board, trying to figure out how to make a new kids’ activity brand feel fresh and inviting. I’ve worked with dozens of display fonts over the years, but Zakids stood out immediately. Its chunky lettering and vibrant personality made it feel like the perfect match for a project focused on creativity and fun.
Zakids for Children’s Activity Branding and Playful Identity
Zakids is a display font that exudes playfulness and authenticity. It’s not just a typeface—it’s a mood. When I first tested it on a logo concept for a local children’s activity center, the results were instantly engaging. The bold, rounded shapes and soft edges gave the brand a warm, approachable feel that felt right for its target audience.
As a designer, I often look for fonts that can carry a brand’s personality without overshadowing it. Zakids does exactly that. It works well as a headline or logo font, especially when paired with a more neutral body type. For this project, I used it on the main logo and then added a complementary sans-serif for the tagline, which helped balance the visual weight while keeping the design cohesive.

On the website header, it provided a clean yet lively contrast against a simple background. I paired it with a modern sans-serif for the body text, which created a nice balance between the bold display font and the more subdued supporting type. This combination worked well for a brand that wanted to feel both professional and child-friendly.
Zakids in Business Cards and Print Materials
Business cards are one of the most challenging places to use a display font, but Zakids handled it surprisingly well. I designed a few samples and found that it looked great in both black and white and full color. One thing to keep in mind is that Zakids may not be the best choice for long paragraphs or dense text. It’s clearly a display font meant for headlines, logos, and short phrases. That said, it can still serve as a strong accent font when used sparingly in print materials like brochures or flyers.
